The Challenge

Scoreon, a prominent sports tech startup in the UK, wanted to build a real-time score keeping and sports statistics website. The application needed to handle millions of simultaneous socket connections during popular live matches without spiking costs. Crucially, they required a premium paid feature model and in-app purchase flow that was completely unhackable, preventing clients from bypassing subscription walls via client-side code modification or replay attacks.

The Solution

We built a serverless, event-driven scoring platform using AWS Lambda and Cloudflare Workers. We implemented a state-of-the-art cryptographic validation system for in-app purchases and subscriptions, utilizing asymmetrical (public-private key) digital signatures. Matching updates are pushed over a serverless WebSocket network, and premium views are decrypted dynamically on the client side only after verifying active cryptographically signed server tokens.
